Our story begins back in 1999, when our beautiful son Jackson was born. We were so excited with our healthy bouncing baby. At eight months Jackson developed baby exzema. To our horror, he became very unwell after using steroid cream which not only thins the skin but destroys the immune system. Soon we discovered that the alcohol present in many baby wipes compounded the condition. Our first thought was “there has to be a natural wipe available that doesn’t contain these types of chemicals?” We explored all the leading wipes and found none that offered an alcohol free, herbal alternative.

We had no choice but to return to cotton wool and water, which was neither effective nor practical. Jackson’s severe blistering and bleeding from nappy rash seemed to worsen. The combination of abrasive chemicals found in baby soaps together with the high levels of chlorine in water were making Jackson’s exzema even worse.


A local water scientist informed us that the chlorine found in our water system would be just as abrasive to a baby like Jackson as alcohol. As parents we felt we had no choice but to explore developing our own wipe that would protect and soothe our baby boy’s delicate skin. After years of exhaustive research and steadfast determination, we successfully designed our own unique cleansing wipes that contain naturally occurring ingredients. Coinciding with the birth of our second son in 2003, Reece, the concept for Jackson Reece Herbal Wipes was born.

We sourced a high quality bio-degradable cloth that would with stand the rigours of the worst kind of nappies and incorporated a natural, herbal formulation containing organic aloe vera, tea tree oil, and lavender. We also wanted to eliminate the harsh chemicals found in water by purifying the water to a high standard. Any product that contains water provides a breeding ground for bacteria, yeast, and fungi. With this in mind we made an ethical decision on the use of the preservatives used in our wipes. We took a long time developing a natural vegetable based preservative system which would also be suitable for vegans.

So far, the over whelming positive feedback we have received has made all the hard work worthwhile. Parents write to tell us how grateful they are to find a wipe that really makes a difference for children and adults with eczema and sensitive skin.

My 21 month old daughter developed eczema when she was approx 5 months old. I tried creams and bath lotions prescribed by my GP but her legs and hands were always very red, sore and itchy. I started using your wipes and within a couple of weeks her skin had greatly improved. I use Jackson Reece wipes every day to wash her legs and hands, I also use tea tree oil for her bath and aloe vera gel as a moisturiser.
I want to thank you at Jackson Reece for these ‘miracle’ wipes – they are the only thing that has helped my daughters skin! I still cannot believe how well her skin has improved. I have been telling everyone about these wipes and have converted a few friends from ‘brand name’ wipes to Jackson Reece. I found the wipes brilliant. I have severely sensitive skin and eczema and cannot use many products as they hurt my skin. These were the only wipes that didn’t hurt my skin. My baby hasn’t had nappy rash since we started using them. I love the clean fresh smell. An overall excellent product.

I have had the skin disease Psoriasis, for a number of years. I recently tried Jackson Reece Herbal Baby Wipes. The Psoriasis is now reduced by four inches I strongly recommend these baby wipes.

Jackson wipes are fantastic as a daily cleanser for my sensitive skin. They are much more gentle and better value than facial cleansing wipes and are much more natural and safer. Everyone should try them.

I am a registered childminder, I am also the Vice convenor of The Scottish Childminding Association. Myself and my colleague were fortunate to be given the opportunity to travel to Belfast to attend Northern Ireland Childminding Association Conference. This is where we received a free sample packet of your wipes.
I have given a sample of them to other childminders. They, as well as myself and my colleague all found them wonderful to use.
My own son in particular has very sensitive skin, however I found he had no reaction to these wipes whatsoever.

Congratulations on making such a good product in the baby wipes. My child was born in November and for presents I had been given other brands of wipes. When I used Jackson Baby wipes I couldn’t believe the difference and my child had no reaction to them compared to the other wipes.

I would say that the fact that they are derived from natural products, the softness of the wipes and the easy access dispenser, means that I would not buy anything else. For me they are the best on the market. The fact that my five year old allows me to wipe his face with them is a minor miracle.
